Pro Kabaddi league begins in Bhaderwah
Bhadarwah Dec 14: To pay tribute to the Martyr soldiers of the Army and J&K Police besides inculcating a sense of belonging towards the nation among youth, the Youth Action committee in collaboration with the Indian Army and district administration is organising the Pro Kabaddi league tournament in Bhadarwah.
The pro-Kabaddi league, the first of its kind in the Chenab region was inaugurated by DDC Chairman Doda Dhananter Singh and CO 4RR Col Yogesh Chohan with ADC Dilmir Choudhary.
More than 23 teams from the Chenab region will participate in the Kabbadi league which is being played on the artificial turf.
The opening match was played between Doda Dynamites and Diggi Dragons which the former won convincingly.
Naseer Mehboob Paddar, Chairman Youth Action Committee said that the tournament aims to remember our brave soldiers beside to inculcate a sense of belonging among society in general and youth in
particular for the nation.
"This professional tournament can also act as catalyst to revive the Kabbadi in this hilly rejoin which was once the primary game of the masses.
Players also expressed gratitude to the organisers especially the Army for allowing them to showcase their talent that too on a professional platform.
