Pressurise Israel to stop bombings in Gaza, Palestine: NC to Centre

Kupwara, Sep 29: National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah Sunday said that for last one year the people in Gaza and Palestine have been suffering badly due to non-ending attacks by Israel.

He said that they have been telling the world's major powers to use their influence to put an end to the killing of innocent people in Gaza and Palestine but there is no end to the massacre of innocents.

Omar was talking to the media in Handwara after addressing an election rally which was organised by NC's contesting candidate for Handwara Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan. He sought Centre's interference to stop bombings in Gaza and Palestine so that the bloodshed of innocents can be thwarted further.

Omar while taking a dig at Er Rashid, said that he has done diploma only so cannot be called an engineer. He raised questions against his release saying that he has been released with a specific purpose.  "The person who has given witness against Rashid now holds the responsibility of Chief Spokesperson of Awami Ittehad Party," NC leader added.

"Other than Er Rashid four other individuals including Yasin Malik, Shabir Shah, Masrat Alam and Asiya Andrabi have been booked in one and the same case but how Er Rashid has been allowed to move out of jail when four others have not been," he added.

The NC leader stated that people of north Kashmir deserve that Member of Parliament who will represent their miseries in the parliament unlike Er Rashid who is out of jail only for 20 days. His both sons launched an emotional campaign seeking votes for their father's release and people without thinking about the feasibility voted in his favor, he added.

Without naming Sajad Lone, Omar said that those who in the recent past enjoyed power because of Bharatiya Janata Party were now raising anti Modi and anti BJP slogans. He said that people were fully aware about them.
