President of India attends mass wedding in Madhya Pradesh
New Delhi, Feb 26: The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, attended a mass wedding ceremony in Gadha, Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, on February 26, 2025. Shri Bageshwar Jan Seva Samiti organised the event.
Speaking at the event, the President emphasised the importance of women’s empowerment. She encouraged people to support women’s education, health, and safety, saying that small efforts can help them become strong and independent. She also urged women to continue learning and striving for self-reliance.
The President highlighted the role of saints and spiritual leaders in Indian society. She noted that figures like Guru Nanak, Sant Ravidas, Sant Kabir Das, Meera Bai, and Sant Tukaram had opposed social evils and discrimination. She believes that today’s spiritual leaders can also help create a self-reliant, harmonious, and eco-friendly India.
