On her inaugural state visit to Mauritius, the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, was warmly welcomed upon her arrival at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport on March 11, 2024, by the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, along with key members of his government and high-ranking Mauritian officials.

During her visit, President Murmu's first official act was to meet with Mauritius's President, Prithvirajsing Roopun, at the State House in Le Reduit.
