Preparing young officers for field challenges a top priority : DIG Rajouri, Poonch
Rajouri, Jan 16:Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Rajouri Poonch range, Dr Haseeb Mughal on Tuesday said that preparing young officers for the field challenges in Pir Panchal range is a top priority.
According to a press release, he was addressing an introductory- cum- familiarisation meeting with the newly posted deputy superintendents of police in Rajouri-Poonch range
Police said that in view of the recent terror incidents, law and order situation in Rajouri Poonch range, few officers of DySP rank have been posted by police headquarters so as to augment the security apparatus in the range.
This is also to ensure a broader sense of security among the people of the vulnerable areas, police stated.
In the context of the officers who have joined their new assignments, police said, range police headquarters Rajouri arranged an introductory cum familiarization meet with the officers with purpose to brief and sensitize the officers regarding the security challenges in the RP range and to prepare them for their better performance in these testing times.
SDPO Mendhar Bhupinder Kumar and other DySsP including Naveed Shoket, Vikram Sarmhal, Sumit Bhagat and Dr. Umar Urfan attended the meeting.
DIG RP range, Dr M Haseeb Mughal welcomed the officers in the range and wished them luck for a successful, stable and purposeful tenure.
The officers were asked to acquire knowledge regarding the deployments and available equipment, resources in the field so as to achieve success in their assigned tasks, the police statement reads.
The current security scenario of the range is the buzzword at the top levels, it said.
A detailed presentation was made by the DIG range followed by the threadbare discussion regarding topography and deployments of security establishments.
