Preparations complete at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine for first Navratra
Jammu, Sep 21: With the onset of the Navratri festival, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra is all set to welcome a massive influx of devotees. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has made elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth pilgrimage as footfall is expected to surge manifold during the nine holy days.
Officials said the shrine has been adorned with exceptional decorations, creating a vibrant spiritual ambience. Pilgrims from across India and abroad are expected to arrive in large numbers, particularly on the first Navratra to seek blessings.
Special measures have been put in place for crowd management, security, sanitation, and medical facilities to ensure a comfortable and safe experience. Local authorities and the Shrine Board have also coordinated with police and civic bodies to manage traffic and provide uninterrupted services. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi, Paramvir Singh conducted a security review meeting at Katra in view of the forthcoming Navratri festival and the expected influx of pilgrims.
