Power supply affected after tree falls on HT power line

Rajouri, June 6: Power supply at Qila Darhal and Laroka areas of Nowshera sub division of J&K's Rajouri sub division remained affected for several hours after trees fell on 33 KV High Tension (HT) power transmission line in the area causing damage to power infrastructure.

As per officials, big trees fell on 33 KV line referred to as Qila Darhal to Nowshera line and the incident played havoc in terms of damage of power infrastructure in the area.

Besides power transmission line, officials said, power poles also suffered damage in the incident.

The incident caused snapping of electricity in the areas of Qila Darhal and Laroka that remain affected for hours before it was restored by evening.
