Power Deptt elevates 11 electrical engineers as in-charge superintending engineers on stop-gap basis

Srinagar, Dec 9: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday ordered the placement of 11 Incharge Executive Engineers (Electrical) as In-Charge Superintending Engineers (Electrical) in the Power Development Department (PDD) on a stop-gap basis, along with a fresh reshuffle of postings across various wings.

The order, issued vide Government Order No 164-JK(PDD) of 2025 dated December 9, states that the officials shall hold the upgraded positions in their own pay and grade with admissible charge allowance.

The order clarified that the placement is temporary, subject to the outcome of any pending writ petitions, and shall not confer any preferential right for regular promotion, which will be processed separately through the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) or Public Service Commission (PSC).

As per the order, Ruheela Tabasum has been appointed as Incharge Superintending Engineer, Planning and Procurement Wing, Kashmir in KPDCL, while Anil Verma has been posted as Incharge SE Circle-I in JPDCL Jammu.

Abdul Majid Salroo will serve as Incharge SE Circle-I KPDCL, and Rafi Ahmed will take charge as Incharge SE Circle-II KPDCL.

Muhammad Amin Naik has been assigned as Incharge SE O&M Circle Sopore KPDCL, while Shabir Ahmed Khan moves as Incharge SE Project Circle South (Awantipora) KPDCL.

Similarly, Muhammad Yousuf Naik has been posted as Incharge SE O&M Circle Bijbehara KPDCL, and Malik Gowhar Jan will serve as Incharge SE O&M Circle Pulwama KPDCL.

Ajaz-ul Rehman has been placed in the Planning & Procurement Circle, JPDCL Jammu. Syed Ehtisham Ali Andrabi has been posted to Generation Circle-II Srinagar with additional charge of Circle-I Baramulla under JKPDC.

Aejaz Ahmad Mir will serve as Incharge SE O&M Circle-I JKPTCL Kashmir.

The government has mandated that any adverse report received against any of the officers will lead to immediate withdrawal of their placement without prior notice.

Until further orders, the officers will also continue to hold charge of their previous Executive Engineer positions.
