Speaking after moving the resolution condemning the Pahalgam terror attack in the J&K Legislative Assembly during its special session, the Deputy Chief Minister said it was distressing for one and all to see the guests of J&K being killed in such an atrocious manner.

We all condemn it in unequivocal terms and share solidarity with the bereaved families. We are sad to lose our valorous Adil yet at the same time proud of his sacrifice while saving tourists. He is the identity of Kashmir. At the same time, it was overwhelming to see the hospitality of Kashmiri people from every strata of life to protect the rest of the tourists. These people define J&K which is known for its hospitality and its citizens will always remain committed to communal harmony and peace,î he said.

He said that while paying tributes to Pahalgam terror victims, he would also remember and pay tributes to all those thousands of innocent victims, including hundreds of National Conference workers and leaders who lost lives in terrorism during the past three decades in J&K.

Later, while speaking to media outside the House, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Pakistan would get nothing by sponsoring terrorism in J&K. ìIt achieved nothing in the past and it will get nothing in the future even. It would also be consumed by the vortex of terrorism which it is sponsoring in J&K, he said.
