Jammu, Jan 6: Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) UT President Vivek Bali on Tuesday condemned the recent attacks on Kashmiri vendors in Himachal Pradesh, calling them unfortunate and against the spirit of national unity, and asserted that attempts to create divisions on religious or regional lines will not succeed in Jammu and Kashmir.

“What is happening in Himachal, where Kashmiri people are being attacked, is extremely unfortunate. The Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) strongly condemns this. This country belongs to all of us. When the country attained freedom, whether Hindu or Muslim, everyone contributed to it together,” SBSP president said through a statement.

The statement added that if someone is attacked or targeted anywhere, it is deeply wrong. You can see that Kashmiris living in different cities are known for their honesty. If someone loses a purse or anything else, often it is the same Kashmiri who searches for it and returns it to its rightful owner. This reflects the love Kashmiris have for the entire country.

“We do not want such incidents to happen, and on behalf of our party, we appeal that brotherhood should prevail across the nation,” the statement added.

As for the statement made by Iltija Mufti about not allowing certain activities here, we condemn such remarks. It appears to us that this is an attempt to spoil the atmosphere.

The brotherhood between Hindus and Muslims has existed for centuries. The love and mutual respect that have always existed cannot be destroyed. No political party should try to create such divisions for its own profit, and we will not allow this to happen. We strongly condemn such actions.
