Politicians greet people on Eid-ul- Fitr
Srinagar, Mar 30: Senior leaders of various political parties have greeted the people on Eid-ul-Fitre.
Dr Farooq Abdullah
National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah in his message said, “I extend my heartfelt wishes to the people on this auspicious occasion, praying that the Almighty accepts our month-long fasting, repentance, prayers, and rectitude. May the Almighty promote unity among people and further the cause of harmony and brotherhood in J&K and around the world.”
Ghulam Nabi Azad
Former Chief Minister J&K and Chairman DPAP Ghulam Nabi Azad has conveyed his best wishes to all those celebrating Eid and prayed for peace, prosperity, and brotherhood. He said that Eid-ul-Fitr is a festival that symbolises compassion, gratitude, and togetherness. “It marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, during which people observe fasting, prayer, and acts of kindness,”he said. Azad added that this festival reminds everyone of the values of patience, generosity, and unity. He expressed hope that Eid would bring happiness to every household and strengthen the bonds of harmony and mutual respect in society. He also urged people to help those in need and spread the message of love and peace. Wishing everyone a joyous and blessed Eid, he encouraged people to celebrate with their loved ones while upholding the spirit of togetherness and goodwill.

PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba posted on X, “Wishing everyone a blissful Eid Mubarak! May this Eid bestow upon all of us peace, prosperity, joy and brotherhood.”
Prof Saifuddin Soz
Former Union Minister and Congress leader Prof.Saifuddin Soz extended his greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a statement issued he conveyed his heartfelt wishes for peace, prosperity, and happiness to the people of the region. Soz emphasised that Eid-ul-Fitr is not only a festival of joy and gratitude but also an occasion that strengthens the bonds of brotherhood, compassion, and unity.
Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami
CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami wished all a happy and prosperous Eid. He hoped that this festival of joy and happiness will usher peace and prosperity to the world especially to people of Jammu and Kashmir. “May this festival strengthen mutual goodwill and inspire each one of us to follow the path of love, friendship, harmony and peace in the state,” he said.

People’s Conference President and MLA Sajad Gani Lone has also greeted the people on Eid-ul-Fitre. He posted on X “Eid Mubarak” and extended greetings and good wishes to the people.

Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari in his message said, “I extend my greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Besides festivity and joyful celebrations, this auspicious occasion symbolises our gratitude to the Almighty for His gift of Ramadhan, which has given us an opportunity for repentance, self-purification, and the pursuit of piety. May this auspicious day and its celebrations bring peace, harmony, communal brotherhood, and prosperity to our region and its people.”
He urged the people to pray for the well-being of Jammu and Kashmir and its people. He said, “I request everyone to pray for peace, harmony, and prosperity in our region on this auspicious occasion. I also humbly urge everyone to share their happiness with the poor and needy and extend support to the underprivileged members of our society as we celebrate this joyous occasion.”
