Politicians express grief over fire incidents

Demand compensation for affected people

Srinagar, July 3: Several politicians have expressed grief and sorry over the recent fire incidents at Anantnag and Srinagar and demanded compensation to the affected people.

Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, on Wednesday, expressed profound grief and sorrow over the damage to a mosque and several residential houses in a massive fire incident in the Umar Colony area of Eidgah in Srinagar.

In a statement, the Apni Party President said, "I am deeply saddened to learn about the tragic fire incident that caused damage to a mosque and several residential houses in the Umar Colony area of Eidgah in Srinagar. I extend my heartfelt sympathies to the families who lost their homes in this unfortunate incident."

Bukhari urged the administration to ensure adequate compensation for the families whose homes were damaged in the fire.

 

AGA RUHULLAH MEHDI & MUBARAK GUL

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi and senior leader and former Speaker Mubarak Gul on Wednesday expressed anguish over the fire incident at Firdous Colony in Eidgah, Srinagar. The fire, which tragically damaged Masjid Umer and several residential houses, has caused significant distress among the local community.

The leaders conveyed their heartfelt sympathies to the affected families and expressed solidarity with the residents impacted by this unfortunate event. They emphasized the importance of swift action from Government authorities to investigate the cause of the fire and ensure adequate support for those affected.

Meanwhile Gul urged the LG administration to ensure an immediate assessment of losses for compensation. He requested the administration to take swift action to compensate those who have suffered losses due to the fire. Gul also reiterated the demand for a comprehensive review of fire safety audit of all the densely inhabited areas and religious places in J&K.

 

MOHAMMAD YOUSUF TARIGAMI

CPI (M) leader Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami has expressed grief and sorrow over the tragic fire mishap that reduced several residential houses and shops to ashes in Mehman Mohalla of of Anantnag town yesterday.

He urged the administration to depute revenue teams to assess the losses incurred by the victims, so that the value of compensation is fixed and distributed among them immediately.

He demanded adequate compensation and rehabilitation of these affectees.

 

HAKEEM MOHAMMAD YASEEN

Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has expressed serious concern over the rising number of devastating fire incidents across Kkashmir valley . He has demanded speedy rehabilitation of fire victims of old bus stand Anantnag and Eidgah Srinagar where property worth several crores has perished to ashes.

Yaseen while expressing concern over increasing number of devastating fire incidents across Kashmir valley, has urged the government to launch vigorous and sustained awareness campaign among masses to prevent occurances of fire incidents during the prevailing dry spell . He has also urged for round the clock vigil and preparedness of the fire and emergency department to prevent fire incidents especially in the congested areas .

PDF Chairman has urged the government to rehabilitate fire victims of Anantnag and Eidgah areas speedily who have suffered total loss of their properties of both housing and commercial establishments. He has asked the administration to install fire safety plugs in the densely populated areas to provide quick fire extinguishing assistance h in case of exigencies.

Hakeem Yaseen has expressed heartfelt sympathies and solidarity with the fire sufferes and has appealed to the NGOs and philanthropists to come forward for rehabilitation of the fie victims.
