Srinagar, Nov 11: Various political and social leaders have greeted the people on Diwali

The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah has greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, hoping the festival of lights will be celebrated with traditional harmony, enthusiasm and brotherhood.
In a message, the party president wished prosperity and happiness to the people of J&K. He highlighted the spirit of celebrating festivals in an atmosphere of amity and brotherhood and called for strengthening this tradition. “Such festivals showcase the cultural diversity and plurality of J&K. “I hope the day increases the prospects of peace, and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir in particular and the world in general. I wish people a very happy Diwali, hoping they will celebrate their happiness with the have-nots,” he said.

OMAR ABDULLAH
National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah said, “May this Diwali strengthen the bond of brotherhood and communal harmony in J&K. I wish people a very Happy Diwali, hoping that the day augurs well for everlasting peace and prosperity in J&K. He stressed on the need for strengthening harmony and brotherhood in the glorious traditions of the State’s pluralistic ethos.”

ALTAF BUKHARI
Apni party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has extended greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of the Diwali festival.
In his felicitation message, he said, “I extend my warm greetings to the people of J&K, especially our Hindu brethren, on this revered occasion of Diwali, a festival of joy and happiness. This celebration, also known as the festival of lights, symbolises the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.”
“May this precious occasion bring joy and happiness to the lives of everyone in Jammu and Kashmir and beyond, and may this Diwali strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and communal harmony among people,” he prayed.
PROF SAIFUDDIN SOZ
Former Union Minister and Congress leader Prof Saifuddin Soz on Saturday greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, hoping the festival of lights will be celebrated with traditional harmony, enthusiasm and brotherhood.
In a statement, Soz wished prosperity and happiness to the people of J&K. BJP KASHMIR UNIT
The BJP Kashmir unit has conveyed sincere greetings to the residents of Jammu and Kashmir on the revered occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights.
In a statement it said as Diwali signifies the triumph of light over darkness, virtue over vice, and wisdom over ignorance, “our fervent wish is for this Diwali to usher in prosperity, joy, and tranquility into every household across the region.”

BJP MEDIA INCHARGE KASHMIR
Advocate Sajid Yousuf Shah, Media Incharge of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kashmir, extended warm and joyous Diwali greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of the festival of lights.
In a statement he said, "Diwali symbolises the triumph of good over evil and the victory of light over darkness. May this Diwali bring joy, prosperity, and a sense of unity among the people of Kashmir. Let us celebrate the diversity that enriches our culture and strengthens the fabric of our society."

POSITIVE KASHMIR
Positive Kashmir mentor Bharat Rawat has greeted the people on the eve of Diwali.Diwali is a five day festival that marks the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance, he said in a statement.
“May the light of Diwali remind us that from darkness there is knowledge, wisdom and truth. From division there is a unity in common bonds of empathy and compassion. From isolation, there is a community in the connections we share as we look out for one another and hope dream and believe in possibilities,” mentor Positive Kashmir said.

ARIF LAIGAROO
PDP leader and party incharge for Habbakadal constituency Arif Laigaroo has extended warm greetings to the people on Diwali, the festival of lights, and hoped that this auspicious occasion would be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the J&K
In his message of greetings, he stated that this festival symbolizes the triumph of truth and righteousness over falsehood and of good over evil and highlights the ethos and high values of the country’s civilization history.
