Srinagar, Aug 11: Political, social figures and people from different walks of life on the third consecutive day today continued to offer condolences to Kaloo and Mir families on the demise of their beloved Naseema Akhtar on Friday evening after a prolonged illness at SKIMS Soura.

The deceased was the sister of Ghulam Hassan Kaloo, Editor The Mirror Of Kashmir, Dr Farooq Ahmad Kaloo, Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo, Editor Greater Kashmir, and mother of Mir Aijaz Ahmad, Editor Kashmir Canvas, on Saturday.

Mirwaiz Dr Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, expressed profound sorrow and grief over the demise of Naseema Akhtar. Conveying heartfelt condolences and deep sympathy to the bereaved Kaloo and Mir families, Mirwaiz prayed for the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous for all the departed souls, the elevation of their ranks, and for patience and fortitude to be granted to their families and loved ones in this hour of grief.

Prominent shia cleric Masroor Abass Ansari also visited the bereaved family and extended condolences. He prayed for peace to the departed soul.

A delegation of the People’s Democratic Party led by its vice president Sartaj Madni visited Hyderpora to offer condolences to Kaloo family. He was accompanied by chairman of PDP’s Parliamentary Board Abdul Rehman Veeri, the general secretary, Mohammad Khurshid Alam, senior leader and former minister Syed Basharat Bukhari, former legislator Pir Mansoor, Arif Laigaroo district coordinator,  Dr Ali Mohammad Shafi Kundangar, Mohd Ashraf and others. The PDP leaders conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. The delegation expressed deep sorrow and stood in solidarity with the Kaloo family during this hour of grief.

J&K Apni Party leader Yawar Mir and Dr Harbaksh Singh also visited the bereaved family.

President Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries Javed Tenga also extended sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for courage to them to bear the irreparable loss. Former Director SKIMS Dr Showkat Zargar, noted urologist Dr Salim Wani, prominent radiologist Sajjad Peerzadah besides Dr Nazir Khan also visited the bereaved family and extended condolences.

Patron of Ahad Zargar Memorial Research Foundation, Khursheed Ahmad Zargar also condoled the demise and extended condolences to Kaloo and Mir families. Zargar chaired a condolence meeting and prayed for peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved families to bear the loss.n

Meanwhile, Chief Editor KNO, Kashmir Thunder, also expressed solidarity with Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo. Khan expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul, besides courage and strength for the family to bear the loss.

The Fateha Khawani will be held on August 12, Tuesday at 10:30 am at the bereaved family’s ancestral graveyard near Jamia Masjid, Hyderpora, followed by a condolence meeting at their residence at Zabarwan Colony, Hyderpora.
