Srinagar, Jan 31: Several political parties have expressed grief and shock over the death of eight persons in a road accident at Boniyar in Uri today.

National Conference President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have expressed profound grief over the deaths in the accident.

They prayed for peace to the departed souls and fortitude to the grief-stricken families. They also impressed upon the civil administration to expedite the ongoing relief and rescue operation.

Partys senior leader Mohammad Shafi Uri and Dr Sajjad Shafi while expressing grief over the tragic accident said, "We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the swift recovery of the injured."

Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic deaths in the accident.

In his statement, Bukhari said, “I am deeply saddened to hear about the loss of eight precious lives in the road accident in Uri. My heartfelt thoughts and sympathies are with the families who have lost their loved ones in this tragic incident. During this period of mourning, I extend my solidarity to the families of the deceased, and I pray to Almighty Allah to grant them the strength to endure the anguish of this irreparable and inconsolable loss. May the departed souls find eternal peace. I also pray for the swift recovery of those who sustained injuries in this unfortunate road mishap.”

The Apni Party president urged the administration to provide compensation to the families of those who were killed and ensure the best possible treatment for the injured.

The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress (JKPCC) Chief Vikar Rasool Wani, Senior Vice President G NMonga and various other leaders have expressed deep shock and grief over the loss of lives in a tragic road accident in Boniyar. They termed the incident as most unfortunate and heart wrenching. The tragic accident has devastated many families, which is very hard to bear for them, they added

The leaders expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and conveyed heartfelt condolences. They also prayed for their courage to bear the irreparable loss of their dear ones and speed recovery of injured persons.
