Srinagar, Jul 15: Several political leaders have expressed grief and shock over the loss of lives in road accidents in Doda and Ramban districts.

Seven persons died in a road at Ponda area on Doda - Bharth link road this morning. One person was killed in Ramban district accident.

In his condolence message, Dr Farooq said, "I am deeply pained by the tragic road accident in Doda that has led to the loss of precious lives. My heartfelt condolences go out to the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones in this heartbreaking incident. I pray for eternal peace to the departed souls and a speedy recovery to those who have sustained injuries."

He urged the administration to provide immediate medical assistance and all necessary support to the injured and the families of the deceased. NC President also emphasised the urgent need to address the recurring issue of road accidents in the mountainous districts of Jammu and Kashmir. "It is distressing that such tragic accidents continue to occur with alarming frequency in our hilly regions. The government must take concrete steps to improve road infrastructure and implement strict safety measures to prevent such avoidable tragedies," he added.

He also appealed to the concerned departments to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident and take corrective action to ensure the safety of commuters across the region.

Chairman of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP)Ghulam Nabi Azad conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. “These heartbreaking incidents have caused immense grief not only to the affected families but to all of us. I pray that Almighty Allah gives strength to the families of the deceased to bear this irreparable loss,” he said.

Azad also urged the administration to provide immediate relief and ensure the best possible medical treatment for those injured in the mishap.

Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has expressed his grief and sorrow over the loss of in the two incidents.

In a statement he said, “I am deeply grieved and saddened over the loss of precious lives in a road accidents. This is a shocking and deeply tragic incident. No words can truly console those who have lost their loved ones in this devastating accident. May the Almighty grant them the strength and courage to endure this immense loss.”

“My thoughts and prayers are with those who have sustained injuries, wishing them a swift and complete recovery,” Bukhari added.

He urged the administration to ensure the best possible treatment for the injured and to provide all necessary assistance to the families of the victims.
