Political career of Azad almost over: Karan Singh
Srinagar, Oct 16: Senior Congress leader Dr Karan Singh today said that the political career of Democratic Progressive Azad Party Ghulam Nabi Azad is almost over now.
“The political career of Ghulam Nabi Azad is almost over. If he had been in Congress at that time, he could have played a good role in it but he left and formed his own party. After that, he is completely finished,” Singh said.
He added,” Every person should retire. I am sitting comfortably. I am not in any post, it is not necessary that everyone should have a post all their lives”.
Singh congratulated Election Commission of India, J&K LG and Government of India for holding Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, saying though the mandate has been given to the INDIA alliance, but in reality people reposed faith on regional political party National Conference.
“I congratulate the Election Commission of India, the J&K Lieutenant Governor, and the Government of India for holding Assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir. During polls the mandate has been given to the INDIA alliance but in reality, it seems clear that the mandate was given to the National Conference,” Dr Karan Singh said.
