Policeman injured in accidental firing in Pulwama village

Srinagar, Feb 29:  A policeman suffered injuries after he accidentally shot himself in his foot at a village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district

A senior police official identified the injured policeman as Jahangir Ahmad Khan. He said that Khan suffered injuries in his foot when his service rifle went off accidentally.

According to the official, the incident occurred in Arihal village, six kms from Pulwama town.

The official said that the injured cop was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. "His condition is stated to be stable", said the official.
