Srinagar, Nov 05: In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, Jammu and Kashmir Police seized 13 vehicles used in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Awantipora and Baramulla.

Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police party of Police Station Awantipora seized three vehicles. Accordingly, case vide FIR No. 239/2025 under relevant section of law has been registered in Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated, police spokesperson said.

In Baramulla, PS Tangmarg and PS Kunzar have seized 10 tippers found plying without valid documents and in violation of traffic norms. Legal action under relevant provisions of law has been initiated against the violators, he said.
