Police raid multiple locations in north Kashmir's Bandipora in terror linked cases
Bandipora, March 23: Police in North Kashmir's Bandipora on Saturday raided multiple locations across the district in terror related cases. The searches were aimed at dismantling the terror ecosystem in the union territory, police said.
The searches were conducted in the presence of executive magistrate.
"It is pertinent to mention here that the investigation is aimed at dismantling the terror ecosystem in the UT by not only identifying over ground workers (OGW's) supporting and abetting terrorism but by ensuring legal action as envisaged by the law of the land". Read a press release issued by police.
Notably, the searches were conducted in the cases pertaining to handlers of terrorist /secessionist organisations sitting /operating from across the border hatching a criminal conspiracy with members of proscribed terrorist organizations operating in Union Territory of J&K.
The raids also were conducted on the suspected location of those who have created new modules of OGWs for aiding / abetting / assisting / harbouring and providing variety of logistic support to terrorist / secessionist organizations with an intention to further accelerate terrorist and unlawful activities in J&K.
However, police told that all the suspects have been questioned and nothing incriminating was recovered from them.

The house /premises of Bashir Ahmad Bhat S/o of Gh Qadir Bhat resident of Bhat Mohlla Sumbal; Sajad Ahad Nawoo S/o Mohmmad Sultan Nawoo resident of Naidkhai, The residential houses of Gh Mohd Sheikh( Gadda) S/o Gh Mohiuddin Sheikh R/o Bagh Bandipora and Gh Mohammad Waza S/o Gh Qadir Waza R/O Ward 04 Plan Bandipora.
House search was also conducted at Vigpara in Case Fir No. 06/24 under UAPA.
