Police probe into mysterious death of Rajouri woman

Rajouri, Nov 30: Police have taken up investigation into the mysterious death of a woman in Gundha village of Khawas in Rajouri.

The 25-year-old woman, identified as Rabina Kosser, wife of Mohammad Yaseen and resident of Gundha village in Khawas tehsil of Rajouri district, died under mysterious circumstances, triggering anger among her family and locals.

Rabina was found dead in her husband’s house with visible injuries on her body.

Her parental family has raised strong allegations, terming the incident a case of murder and demanding a thorough investigation to ensure justice.

Officials said that Police initiated necessary legal proceedings, while the body was shifted to Kalakote Civil Hospital where a post-mortem was conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Authorities said further action would be taken based on the findings of the investigation and medical report.
