Police organise awareness programme on drug abuse in Kulgam

Kulgam, Nov 4: Continuing its steadfast commitment to a drug-free society and promoting a sense of belonging and unity, the Police in Kulgam organised an awareness programme on drug abuse and national integration at the Bagdad Educational Trust in Qazigund. The event was attended by over 100 students and staff meambers.

The programme focused on educating participants about the ill effects of substance abuse to prevent its usage and to encourage the spirit of patriotism and brotherhood.

During the programme, SDPO Qazigund Rameez Raja delivered an informative lecture addressing the early signs of substance abuse, methods of detection, and identification of potential abusers. He also noted that the aim of organising such events is to bridge the gap between the police and the public.
