Srinagar, Jan 26: Bashir Ahmad, a 57-year-old police officer from Srinagar, found relief from eleven months of severe back and leg pain thanks to an innovative stitchless endoscopic spine surgery.

“After consulting with Dr. Trivedi, a senior endoscopic spine surgeon at Spine Master’s Unit in Jalandhar, Ahmad learned he was suffering from an L4-L5 disc prolapse. The procedure, performed under local anesthesia, is known as “awake spine surgery.” In just fifteen minutes, Ahmad experienced significant relief, and within half an hour, he was walking normally again,” the statement said.

According to the statement, previously, he had undergone two spinal injections without success. Dr Trivedi highlighted that awake spine surgery is a game-changer in treating spine problems, transforming invasive procedures into simple day-care treatments with minimal recovery time. He emphasized the importance of early intervention, warning that delays can lead to severe complications.
