Police investigate mysterious death of girl in rajouri

Rajouri, Aug 28: Police have set into motion investigation in an incident of mysterious death of a teenage girl in a remote village of Rajouri.

The deceased was identified Sonia Devi (15) daughter of Babu Ram resident of Ward 5, Hari Chuma in Teryath police post area. She was reportedly found hanging inside her house after which the family members informed police.

" A police team reached the site and took the body in its possession," the officials said. They added that investigation into the matter is going on while medico-legal formalities of deceased's body were performed.

Today at about 1730 hrs one girl namely Sonia Devi D/o Babu Ram Age 15 yrs R/o Ward No 5 Hari Chumma committed suicide by hanging herself inside her house. Police party on spot. Legal proceedings initiated.
