Police foil bovine smuggling attempts in Ramban

Ramban, May, 24: Ramban Police foiled six bovine smuggling attempts with arrested six bovine animal smugglers.

Six vehicles ferrying animals towards Kashmir were seized on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on Friday. Police sources said on the directions of SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar. Police teams of Chanderkote and Ramban Police stations intercepted six vehicles and rescued 157 bovines at Chanderkote, and Ramban on National Highway.

They said a Police team led by SHO, Police Station Chanderkot Inspector JS Rakwal while performing vehicle checking duty intercepted three vehicles. During checking 67 animals were found laden inside the three vehicles, and three people were arrested.

Similarly, a Police team led by SHO Police Station Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal while performing vehicle checking duty intercepted three vehicles.
