Srinagar, Oct 28: As a part of the ongoing police flag day week, police organised various cultural programmes, debate competitions, seminars, and band shows in various districts of Kashmir Valley.

As per an official statement issued, in Awantipora, the debate competitions were held at Government Degree College Pampore and Government Higher Secondary School Dadsara, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students.

At both the venues, participants expressed their views with confidence and enthusiasm.  At Govt. Degree College Pampore, SDPO Pampore R.P. Singh, Principal of Govt. Degree College Pampore, SHO PS Pampore and other faculty members graced the occasion and shared their valuable thoughts on the topic. Similarly, at Govt. Higher Secondary School Dadsara, SDPO Awantipora Raja Majid-JKPS, along with the principal of GHSS Dadsara, SHO PS Awantipora, teaching staff and other police officers, attended the event.

Moreover, police organised band shows at Tral Adda, Awantipora Kharmod, and Pampore Chowk in honour of the police martyrs. During these programmes, SSP Awantipora, SDPO Awantipora, SDPO Tral, SDPO Pampore, and DySP DAR, along with the concerned SHOs, were present. The events witnessed an overwhelming response from the public, with a large number of people gathering to witness the musical performances.

In Ganderbal, cultural programme was held at DPL Ganderbal in the loving memory of J&K Police Martyrs. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from school students and artists, who performed with great zeal and passion. The lively performances reflected the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir and were met with loud applause and appreciation from the gathering. On the occasion, SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS lauded the efforts of all participants for making the event a grand success.

In Budgam, police organised a cultural programme at Government Degree College, Charar-i-Shareif, to pay tribute to the police martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty. The top three performers were felicitated with trophies and participation certificates. Speaking on the occasion, SDPO Charar-i-Shareif and SHO Charar-i-Shareif reiterated the department’s commitment to maintaining public peace and urged the youth to contribute positively to nation-building while remembering the sacrifices of police personnel.
