Police file FIR over bomb hoax call to Jammu school

Srinagar, Dec 06: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday filed an FIR into a bomb hoax call made to an educational institute in Jammu.

Earlier in the morning security forces along with Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) swung into action after a teacher of the school received a call by an unknown person, claiming to have planted a bomb in the institution. However, the threat turned out to be a hoax later.

Taking congnisance of the matter, the Police informed they have filed an FIR in this regard for further investigations.

“Jammu Police acted swiftly on bomb threat by an unknown caller to one private school. Police conducted extensive search and sanitised area. The threat turned out to be hoax and FIR has been registered,” police wrote on 'X'.
