Police crack burglary case in Sopore
Sopore, Dec 18: Police in Sopore said that they have solved a burglary case by arresting 2 accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.
Police in a statement said that police Station Panzalla received a complaint from Ashiq Hussain Shah, resident of Brandub Rafiabad, stating therein that during intervening night of December 9-10 some unknown burglars have entered his home and stolen various household items, including jewellery and cash.
Accordingly, case FIR No 53/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Panzalla and investigation was initiated.
During the investigation, some suspects were called for questioning. Investigating team with strenuous efforts and by using all available means zeroed in on 2 suspected persons who confessed their involvement in the commission of crime. They have been identified as Zakir Hussain Shah and Manzoor Ahmad Shah, both residents of Brandub Rafiabad.
Both the accused have been arrested and on their disclosure, stolen property including 1 gold ring, 1 pair of golden earrings, one golden nose pin and cash amount of Rs 20,000 was recovered.
