Police conduct raids at residences of Jamaat-e-Islami members in Budgam

Srinagar, Oct 8: In a continued crackdown on elements involved in unlawful activities, Budgam Police on Wednesday carried out coordinated raids at multiple locations linked to members of the proscribed Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) organisation.

According to officials, the searches were conducted in Soibugh and Chadoora areas as part of ongoing investigations to determine the possible involvement of certain individuals in activities that could disrupt public order and peace.

Police said the operation is part of sustained efforts to dismantle networks associated with the “terror ecosystem” and prevent any attempts to disturb normalcy in the district.

Reaffirming its commitment to maintaining law and order, Budgam Police stated that strict action will be taken against anyone found involved in activities detrimental to public safety and regional stability.
