Police arrest notorious bootlegger in Sopore

Sopore, Sep 02: Police in Sopore have arrested a notorious bootlegger and recovered illicit liquor from his possession.

A police party of Police Station Sopore headed by SHO PS Sopore under the supervision of ASP Sopore, at a checkpoint established at Degree College Crossing, intercepted a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK04B-9591 driven by Farooq Ahmad Ganie,  resident of Sangrampora Sopore A/P Bunpora Langate Handwara. During the search, 32 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession.

Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated.
