Police arrest absconder after 6 years from Udhampur

Ramban, Dec 25: Kishtwar Police arrested an absconder who was evading arrest for the past six years on Wednesday.

Police said they received credible information about the hiding of a fugitive in Naroo Nallah Udhampur.

Acting swiftly on the information, SSP Javaid Iqbal Mir deputed a special police team to arrest the absconder.

They said Police team raided the suspected location and arrested Manzoor Ahmed son of Qasim Bakerwal, resident of Narsoo Nallah, Udhampur.

Police said Manzoor was wanted in case FIR No. 112 of 2019 under sections 366, 376.D/344, RPC of Police Station Kishtwar.

SSP Kishtwar warned all the fugitives, urging them to surrender at the nearest Police Station otherwise  action under section 82/83 CrPc would be taken against those who continue to evade the law.
