Police arrest 5 drivers for illegal mining in Baramulla

Baramulla, Apr 28:  Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals at Kreeri and Khasipora Baramulla, Police have seized five tractors and arrested their drivers.

Police parties under the supervision of SDPO Pattan and SDPO Kreeri assisted by SHO PS Kreeri and IC PP Kungamdara, seized 5 tractors and arrested 5 drivers identified as Yaseen Ahmad Malik, resident of Chak Dargam Pattan, Tawseef Ahmad Hajam,resident of Ussan Pattan, Adnan Ahmad Bhat, resident of Palpora, Tanveer Ahmad Bhat, resident of Hurandpora Pattan and Yasir Ali Dar, resident of Kripalpora Payeen Singhpora.

They were involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals and accordingly cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Kreeri and Pattan and investigations have been initiated.
