Police arrest 3 drug peddlers in Handwara

Kupwara, April 17: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Handwara have arrested 3 drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession.

A police party of Police Station Qalamabad headed by SHO PS Qalamabad during patrolling at Chuntipora crossing intercepted 3 suspicious persons. During the search, 80 gms of Charas like substance was recovered from their possession. They have been identified as Danish Ahmad Malla , resident of Batagund, Ashiq Hussain Dar,  resident of Watergam and Naseer Ahmad Lone, resident of Hadipora. They have been arrested and  shifted to PS where they remain in custody.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 19/2024 under relevant sections of law stands registered and investigation has been initiated.
