Police arrest 2 drug peddlers in Baramulla

Baramulla, Nov 8: Police in Baramulla have arrested 2 drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession.

A Police party of Police Station Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Kanispora Baramulla, intercepted a person identified as Junaid Ahmad Dar, resident of Kanispora. During search, 12 grams of heroin and 6 grams opium was recovered from his possession.

Similarly, a Police party of Police Station Uri at a checkpoint established at Garkote-Machikrand Crossing Uri, intercepted a person identified as Shabir Ahmad Janjua, resident of Machikrand Uri. During search 36 grams of charas was recovered from his possession.
