Police arrest 2 absconders from south Kashmir
Ramban, Nov 22: Ramban Police arrested two absconders from Anantnag and Pulwama districts who were evading arrest for last 20 and 13 years respectively.
Police sources said SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma has constituted police teams to arrest the absconders who have been evading arrest for a long and against whom general warrants of arrest were issued by the court.
They said in this connection a police party of Police Station Gool arrested an absconder Ghulam Mohammad son of Ghulam Ahmed resident of Kadapura, Tehsil Achabal, District Anantnag wanted in case FIR No19 of 1999 under sections 406 RPC of Police Station Gool.
A general warrant of arrest was issued by the court under sections 512 CrPc vide order dated 20.10.2003 against Gulam Mohammad. In another case a police party of Police Station Ramban arrested an absconder Hilal Ahmed son of Abdul Rashid Mirza resident of Largam, Tehsil Aribal, district Pulwama wanted in case FIR No5 of 2009 under sections 279/304-A RPC of Police Station Ramban. A general warrant of arrest was issued by the court under section 512 CrPC vide order dated 15.12.2010 against Hilal Ahmed. Both the absconders were arrested by police teams of Police Station Gool and Ramban and produced before the court of Law.
