Police announce Rs 5 lakh reward for information on terrorist movement in J-K’s Poonch

Poonch, Nov 17: Police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch distrcit on Monday announced a reward of ₹5 lakh for any credible and actionable information on the presence or movement of terrorists or their associates in the district.

In a statement, a police spokesman said the identity of all informers will be kept strictly confidential, urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, including support being extended to terrorists, their logistics, communication links, or movement.

Officials said the public can share information through dedicated WhatsApp and Telegram numbers of the Police Control Room and sub-divisional officers, or directly approach the nearest police station or post.

The announcement comes amid heightened security measures in the region, with authorities stressing that community cooperation remains vital in disrupting terror networks and safeguarding lives.
