PoK man booked, arrested for infiltration

Rajouri, Mar 26: A man from PoK has been arrested and booked under a case for infiltrating from the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keri area of Pir Panjal’s Rajouri district.

The accused was intercepted by the Army personnel deployed along the LoC in the Keri area of Rajouri on Tuesday afternoon while he was trying to sneak in from the LoC.

He was immediately shifted to a local Army camp and later to Police Station Rajouri for investigation as well as legal proceedings.

Officials identified the accused as Muhammad Yaqoob, son of Muhammad Sadiq of Suhana, Kotli district of PoK.

They said that a case under relevant sections of law in the EIMCO Ordinance has been registered and an investigation has been taken up.

The accused is presently lodged in police custody under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajouri.
