PoJK man repatriated from LoC

Rajouri, June 6: An elderly man from Battal in Rawlakote district of Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) has been repatriated from Line of Control (LoC) after he was caught while infiltrating in Mankote area of Poonchs' Mendhar.

He was identified as Muneer Hussain (73) son of Feroz Din resident of Battal PK of Tehsil Battal in District Rawalakote.

Officials said that the aged man was detained while infiltrating from Line of Control (LoC) in Nangri Tekri area of Mankote in Mendhar and was shifted to local army camp.

However, as a goodwill gesture and to strengthen ties on humanitarian grounds, Indian army has repatriated the aged man.

The handing over of detained man took place at Chakan Da Bagh LoC crossing gate where he was handed over to Pak authorities. Earlier, two weeks ago, a PoJK woman detained on LoC during infiltration from Nowshera was also repatriated.
