PMAY-Urban empowers 591 homeless in Ramban

Ramban, Mar 1: In district Ramban, three vibrant municipalities are witnessing a remarkable transformation through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban (PMAY-U).

An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that 591 eligible families, spanning across the municipal towns of Ramban, Banihal, and Batote have realised the dream of owning a house.

Under Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban, Baseer-ul-Haq Chaudhary, the PMAY-U scheme has transcended mere housing provisions and has become a symbol of empowerment and dignity for the community.

In Ramban Municipal Council alone, 115 families are already relishing the comfort of their completed homes, while 158 others have been granted the privilege of a PMAY-U house and the rest are in different stages of construction.
