PM to lay foundation; unveil rail projects worth Rs 80,000 Cr today

Jammu, Mar 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay foundation and unveil rail projects worth Rs 85000 Cr to bolster basic infrastructure and connectivity tomorrow.

Programmes related to unveiling ceremonies will be organised at 10 stations of Ferozpur division including Srinagar, Samba and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Railway Stations. “Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji unveils numerous rail projects worth 85000 Crore Rupees to completely transform Indian Railways,” Northern Railway posted on ‘X’, late this evening.

“PM is all set to flag off 10 new Vande Bharat Express trains and extension of 4 Vande Bharat trains in the country. Out of these, the Northern Railway zone will witness the flag off and extension of 5 Vande Bharat Express trains. First Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off between Dehradun and Lucknow; second Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off between Patna to Lucknow,” it said.

“Third Vande Bharat will be running between Khajuraho and Delhi (H Nizamuddin; fourth Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off between Ranchi and Varanasi and fifth Ajmer-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express will be extended upto Chandigarh,” it added.
