The three-day event, beginning November 28, will focus on reviewing policing challenges and shaping a roadmap for a ‘Surakshit Bharat’ in line with the national vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’.

The theme for this year’s edition is “Viksit Bharat: Security Dimensions.” Senior police and security officials from across the country will engage in detailed deliberations on major security issues, including Left Wing Extremism, counter-terrorism, disaster management, women’s safety, and the use of artificial intelligence and forensic science in policing. The Prime Minister will also present the President’s Police Medals for Distinguished Service. The conference serves as an important platform for senior police leadership to exchange views on operational strategies, welfare concerns, infrastructure needs, and best practices in law and order management and internal security. Break-out sessions and thematic discussions will enable participants to directly share insights with the Prime Minister. Since 2014, the format of the conference has been revamped under PM Modi’s guidance, with venues rotating across the country. Previous editions have been held in Guwahati, the Rann of Kachchh, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kevadiya, and Bhubaneswar. This year’s conference will be attended by the Union Home Minister, National Security Adviser, Ministers of State for Home Affairs, DGPs/IGPs of States and UTs, and heads of Central Police Organisations. Selected DIGs and SP-rank officers will also join to contribute fresh and innovative ideas.
