During a programme marking the 70th birthday of Bhutan’s Fourth King, the people of Bhutan offered a special prayer for the victims and their families. Acknowledging the gesture, the Prime Minister said, “I will never forget this gesture.” In a post on X, he wrote that the expression of solidarity “through a unique prayer” reflected the deep friendship and compassion shared between the two nations. Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck led thousands in a prayer for the victims of the Delhi blast at the Changlimithang Stadium on Tuesday, ANI reported. The prayer was held during the Global Peace Prayer Festival, coinciding with celebrations for the 70th birthday of former King Jigme Singye Wangchuck. “We would like to take a moment and pray for the people who sadly lost their lives in Delhi. Let us all come together and pray for India, pray for Prime Minister Modi,” the King said, wishing for a “brighter, stronger, more prosperous India.”
