PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana progress reviewed in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Nov 2: A meeting to review the implementation of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana was held at the DC Office Complex, here. The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pawan Kotwal and attended by all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) of the district.

At the outset, the Executive Engineer JPDCL elaborated on the key features, benefits and procedural aspects of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. He also addressed the queries raised by the DDOs regarding the scheme’s implementation process and subsidy mechanism.

The ADC directed the DDOs to convene regular meetings with their subordinate employees and motivate them to get Solar Rooftop (SRT) systems installed within this month to ensure timely achievement of the district’s assigned targets.JPDCL was directed to prepare a roster and hold separate meetings with each DDO in the DC Office to provide handholding support and resolve any pending issues related to registration and installation under the scheme.

The meeting emphasised the collective responsibility of all departments in ensuring the successful rollout of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, aimed at promoting clean energy adoption and reducing dependency on conventional power sources in the district, said an official press release.
