PM Narendra Modi holds talks with Israeli counterpart

New Delhi, Dec 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a telephone call from the Israeli Prime Minister and engaged in a telephone conversation today with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The discussion primarily revolved around the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, with PM Netanyahu offering a detailed briefing on recent developments in the region.

A key point of focus during the conversation was the shared concern between the two leaders regarding the safety of maritime traffic, a critical aspect amid the escalating tensions. Prime Minister Modi underscored the necessity for humanitarian aid to be continued, emphasising the pressing need for a resolution to the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.

Reiterating the call for a peaceful resolution, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the importance of addressing the humanitarian crisis, urging a swift and amicable resolution that includes the release of all hostages.
