Srinagar, March 06: Authorities on Wednesday issued a route advisory for motorists and commuters in anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Kashmir Valley tomorrow.

"Traffic movement from Jehangir Chowk to Rambagh and Rajbagh to LD Hospital-Tulsi Bagh route will be restricted from 4:00 AM to 7:00 PM," as per the advisory, issued by the Traffic Police, Srinagar.

As per the advisory, motorists traveling between Rambagh and Jehangir Chowk have been advised to use interior roads and the alternate route via Rambagh-Hyderpora-Moominabad-Batmaloo road.

"Traffic assistance points will be set up at strategic locations to facilitate smooth movement," it said.

Similarly, motorists traveling from Radio Kashmir-Rajbagh to Solina-Rambagh are advised to take the M A/RR Road-Jehangir Chowk-Batmaloo-Moominabad-Hyderpora route.

As per the advisory, movement of vehicles from Panthachowk to Sonwar and vice versa will be discouraged.

"Students appearing for exams are advised to carry valid ID cards, reach their exam centers by 8:30 AM, and leave after 3:00 PM to avoid inconvenience," read the advisory.

"Movement of vehicles from Police Golf Course/Hotel Lalit towards Gupkar and Ram Munshi Bagh will be restricted.

"Motorists are urged to park only in designated areas to prevent towing of wrongly parked vehicles.

"Citizens are requested to avoid travel on specific routes and contact Traffic Police on special service number 103 for assistance."

Regretting any inconvenience caused, the authorities have emphasised that emergencies will be allowed to take the shortest route.
