PM Modi to interact with youth at Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue on National Youth Day
New Delhi, Jan 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the concluding session of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 on January 12 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, marking National Youth Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
The Prime Minister will interact with around 3,000 young participants from across India, along with youth representatives from the Indian diaspora.
Selected participants will make final presentations across ten thematic tracks, sharing youth-led ideas and policy suggestions on key national priorities. During the programme, PM Modi will also release an essay compilation featuring selected writings by young participants on India’s development goals and long-term nation-building vision. Now in its second edition, the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue serves as a national platform for structured engagement between the country’s youth and its leadership.
The initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s Independence Day call to involve one lakh non-political youth in shaping ideas for a developed India. The Dialogue, being held from January 9 to 12, has seen participation from over 50 lakh youth nationwide. Finalists at the national level were chosen through a three-stage merit-based process, including a nationwide digital quiz, an essay competition and state-level vision presentations. The 2026 edition introduces new components such as Design for Bharat, Tech for Viksit Bharat and Hack for a Social Cause, along with expanded thematic tracks and international participation for the first time.
