This will be the first-ever Prime Ministerial visit from India to Ghana in over three decades, and Prime Minister Modi’s first to the country. During his stay, he will hold bilateral talks with the President of Ghana to review the time-tested bilateral partnership and explore avenues for expanding cooperation in economic, energy, defence, and development sectors. The visit is expected to reaffirm India’s long-standing ties with Ghana and bolster New Delhi’s strategic engagement with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the African Union.

In the second leg of the tour, PM Modi will travel to Trinidad & Tobago at the invitation of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, from July 3 to 4, 2025. This marks his maiden visit to the country and the first bilateral visit at the Prime Ministerial level from India since 1999. He will hold meetings with both the President, Christine Carla Kangaloo, and Prime Minister Bissessar, focusing on further strengthening bilateral cooperation. He is also expected to address a Joint Session of the Parliament of Trinidad & Tobago, symbolising the deep historical and cultural ties rooted in a strong Indian diaspora presence.

Prime Minister Modi will then proceed to Argentina from July 4 to 5, 2025, at the invitation of President Javier Milei. This leg of the visit will include detailed discussions to enhance the growing partnership in key sectors such as defence, agriculture, mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, trade, and investment, along with people-to-people connections.

From July 5 to 8, 2025, Prime Minister Modi will be in Brazil, where he will attend the 17th BRICS Leaders’ Summit in Rio de Janeiro, followed by a State Visit to Brasilia. This will be his fourth visit to Brazil. During the BRICS Summit, leaders will deliberate on a wide range of global challenges including the reform of global governance, climate action, responsible use of artificial intelligence, economic stability, and multilateralism. The Prime Minister is also expected to hold several bilateral meetings with fellow BRICS leaders.
