PM Modi to distribute 51,000 job letters under Rozgar Mela today
Srinagar, Jul 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates across various central government departments and organisations on Friday, July 12, during the 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela.
The event will be conducted via video conferencing and held simultaneously at 47 locations across the country, including Jammu.
As part of the Jammu and Kashmir leg of the Rozgar Mela, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Jitin Prasada will preside over the event at the Convention Centre near Circuit House, Jammu. He will personally hand over appointment letters to selected candidates from the region.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), over 10 lakh appointment letters have already been issued nationwide through previous editions of the Rozgar Mela. The initiative is part of the government’s sustained focus on employment generation and aims to provide meaningful job opportunities to youth across the country.
The new recruits will be placed in various central government departments, including the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
The PM is also scheduled to address the newly inducted appointees during the virtual event. The Rozgar Mela, launched in 2022, is a key employment outreach by the Centre to promote youth participation in national development and ensure timely recruitment to critical government positions.
