PM Modi to add blitzkrieg effect to BJP electioneering on Sep 14 from Doda
Jammu, Sep 10: Bharatiya Janata Party’s leading star-campaigner Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public rally at Sports Stadium in Doda on September 14 to give a blitzkrieg effect to the party's electioneering for phase one of J&K Assembly elections.
This will be the first-ever rally of the party's prime crowd-puller in the J&K assembly elections 2024, which are being held after a gap of ten years.
Eight Assembly segments of three districts of Chenab Valley in the Jammu region are going to polls in the first phase on September 18.
Prime Minister Modi along with his cabinet colleagues Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Health Minister and BJP President J P Nadda and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari figure in the list of party’s star campaigners, for all three phases.
According to party leaders, Doda district as the choice of rally venue, out of three districts, was preferred by the Prime Minister himself, this time, conceding to the demand of the party's dedicated electorate of this constituency.
“Last time when the Prime Minister addressed a rally in Kishtwar, Doda people demanded that they too wanted to have their beloved leader (PM) among them. They desired to see him and hear him. In view of the long pending demand of people from Doda, PM Modi himself expressed his desire to visit here for an election rally,” they stated.
“The Prime Minister will come here on September 14 and directly address all sections of society - youth, elders and women. He will establish a direct rapport and share his views (on different issues) with them. His rally will meet a long pending demand of people of Doda and adjoining areas,” BJP Doda unit leaders said.
They stated that BJP’s wave was blowing across Chenab Valley. “We will win all eight seats from three districts here (in Chenab Valley) and give them to the PM as a gift. Everywhere in Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban, ‘Lotus’ will bloom. PM Modi is coming here to bolster and further reinvigorate the spirits of people of this sub-region and appeal to them to support BJP candidates,” they added.
The party has already stated that these leading star campaigners, including the Prime Minister, will visit J&K for electioneering in every phase as the Union Territory enjoyed great significance for it (BJP).
“Jammu region, being the party’s forte, will enjoy major focus but they will visit Kashmir also for campaigning. Itinerary will be finalised for it,” they added.
The Prime Minister, as per a tentative itinerary, is scheduled to visit on September 19 in the Pir Panchal sub-region, which will go to polls in the second phase. The party has yet to receive a confirmed schedule for the second phase.
