PM Modi speaks to Russian President Putin after Ukraine visit
Srinagar, Aug 27: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said he spoke to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. The communication comes a couple of days after PM Modi concluded his Ukraine visit.
Modi said he and Putin exchanged perspectives over the Russia-Ukraine conflict and his insights from his Ukraine visit.
He said he reiterated India’s firm commitment to support an early, and peaceful resolution to the conflict.
Yesterday, Modi also spoke to U.S President Joe Biden.
These developments suggest that India is making itself an intermediate to reconciliation and peace on the global stage.
Modi also said that he and Putin discussed measures to strengthen special and privileged strategic partnership, the PM wrote on his official X-handle.
